Ready to learn how to sew? This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect place to start — no sewing experience required!
In this 2.5-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the essential skills you need to feel comfortable and confident using a sewing machine, including:
Sewing machine parts & safety
How to wind a bobbin
How to thread a sewing machine
Machine control & basic stitching
How to work with and cut a pattern
How to sew and finish your very own adorable lavender sachet
You’ll leave with a finished project, foundational sewing skills, and the confidence to keep creating!
This is our prerequisite beginner workshop. Once you’ve completed Intro to Sewing, you’ll be ready to join Open Studio sessions and our Experienced Sewers workshops.
All materials, sewing machines and tools are included.
